Style and bathroom design.

If you’re looking to save money and save water, water efficient toilets are a great way to do that. Many people don’t realize that there have been a number of improvements made in toilet technology over the years, and if you’re still using the same old toilet, you’re doing yourself a disservice.

On a basic level, some older toilets are pretty aesthetically outdated. At one time, it was pretty stylish to have toilets, bathroom sink vanity units, and tubs in matching shades of pink, gold, and perhaps even baby blue. Those were some crazy times, but that’s certainly not a stylish look anymore.

Today’s toilets offer a wide variety of styles. If you want a lavender toilet, you can certainly get one. However, there are sleeker, more modern looking toilets in simple white, or even black or chrome. There are also modern toilets that maintain an old-fashioned look.

More important than aesthetics, however, is the function of a toilet, and toilets have come a long way over the years. Water usage is the greatest way in which modern toilets have improved over the years. Older toilets used up to seven gallons per flush, while modern water saving toilets average about 1.6 gallons per flush. Some water efficient toilets can even use as little as 1.28 gallons per flush.

Not only does this account for a savings in water, but a savings in money as well. When you consider how many times you use and flush your toilet each day, there you will definitely cut down on your water bill by upgrading to water efficient toilets. there are also often special refunds or local exchange programs, to encourage residents to upgrade to more efficient toilets.

If you’re looking to update your bathroom, upgrading to a water-efficient toilet is one of the best decisions you can make. It may seem like your old toilet is working just fine, but you’ll find that an upgrade will work much better, all while saving you water and money.

About Me

I've seen a lot of cooking, home improvement and crafting shows and, let me tell you, they make things look way easier than they are. Most people really can’t remodel their own kitchen, paint a wall mural or whip up a gourmet meal in an afternoon. I’m here to share my ideas and guidance about home and family--things I've learned through trial and error. I've already made the mistakes so you don’t have to! Just don’t ask about the kitchen cabinet refinishing project that went awry.
