Sell my house

Selling your house fast isn’t easy, but people make quick home sales every day. It’s not impossible. You just need to hit the ground running. Here are a few tips that can help you sell your house fast.

Boost Curb Appeal. – If you want your house to catch people’s eyes, it’s got to be eye catching. In other words, you need to boost its curb appeal. Try landscaping the yard, adding a fresh coat of paint to the outside of the house, fixing things up, and just generally making your house look more aesthetically appealing. Sure, this may or may not cost a bit, but quick home sales requires sellers to make a few compromises for the sake of time.

Stage Your Home. – Once you’ve boosted your curb appeal, and gotten some people interested in looking at your house, you need to stage it. You need to make it attractive on the inside, as well as on the outside. This means depersonalizing it, and deep cleaning it. In other words, you have to make it as presentable as possible. According to the 2012 HomeGain Home Improvement Survey, staging was considered the fifth best thing a seller could do.

Price Competitively. – As previously mentioned, quick home sales demand compromises. Not only will you have to spend some money to make some money more quickly, you’re also going to have to be willing to lower your prices. Be realistic. There are local houses for sale out there that may or may not be as nice as your home, and are definitely cheaper than what you might offer. Now, this doesn’t mean you can’t set a good price. Just be willing to maybe bring it down a little.

About Me

I've seen a lot of cooking, home improvement and crafting shows and, let me tell you, they make things look way easier than they are. Most people really can’t remodel their own kitchen, paint a wall mural or whip up a gourmet meal in an afternoon. I’m here to share my ideas and guidance about home and family--things I've learned through trial and error. I've already made the mistakes so you don’t have to! Just don’t ask about the kitchen cabinet refinishing project that went awry.
