The History of Induction Lighting

Originally developed by Nikola Tesla in the 1890s, induction lighting was not immediately the most efficient lighting system, but further development brought it to the top of the list. Different types of induction lighting provide over 70 lumens per watt, along with a long lifespan that leads to cost savings on all products and parts involved in the lighting system for any building. The induction grow light is one of the highest quality options for car headlights today, well over a century after the initial technology was developed, making it one of the longest lasting marketed electric products. Induction lighting also has many benefits over standard lighting systems because it does not have electrodes or filaments, the parts that often make traditional lights burn out quickly. Therefore, induction lighting often lasts up to 100,000 hours.

Many Strong Lighting Systems In Addition to Induction Lighting

On top of induction lighting, there are systems like HID and LED lighting that cut costs and energy usage. With the bulbs and other parts lasting so long, other qualities such as these are incredibly beneficial for residential and commercial buildings alike. Considering the frequent use of LED lights, the availability is frequent and the affordability is efficient as well. They still cut costs and energy usage, also including products like LED business signs, LED ceiling lights, LED porch lights, and many more, there is much to can from these lights in all areas of life.

Induction Lighting Over LED or HID

Notice that induction grow lighting provides the greatest efficacy in lighting many locations, while others are used only to save on energy costs. LED and HID lighting often have bulbs that last longer than traditional bulbs or translucent bulbs, reducing energy costs overall, though the system as a whole may not be as efficient or effective as induction lighting. High-efficiency light bulbs for lamps, fans, and other local lighting could also include HID or induction grow lights, although HID lights tend to last not even as long as the LED bulb.

Different Types of Induction Lighting

So many types of high-efficiency lighting are available that there needs to be shopping and comparison, most often of prices and lifespan. Induction grow lights and others offer great efficacy anywhere, along with the many other efficient lighting options that are used to reduce energy costs. Basic LED light bulbs increase the lifespan of the bulbs that you use throughout your home or other location. They have been proven to last longer in lamps and other fixtures, but there are even more than those. So many additional options are available for lighting in various locations, that it takes a little shopping in order to determine the best choice for your home or business. Some of these include:

  • High powered led lighting
  • Induction ballast
  • Induction grow light
  • Induction lamp
  • LED high bay light fixtures
  • LED parking garage lighting
  • LED roadway lighting
  • LED T8 lamps
  • LED warehouse lighting fixtures
  • LED canopy light fixtures
  • LED clusters

Residential lighting is your own choice, though it can be a very valuable investment to update from traditional lighting to induction lighting, LED, or HID. With all of these efficient options, there is a great opportunity to extremely reduce your monthly power bills, even to the point of renewable or sustainable energy sources. It could be a combined effort as well, that could be updated over time. Depending on your energy source, local power grids may not be necessary when outages occur, eliminating the need for generators and other more expensive alternatives for businesses and such that need to always have power running. Also, annual energy costs for the average home enter the thousands, leaving much to benefit from renewable energy and efficient lighting. Even though induction lighting was originally developed over a century ago, there is still much to be gained from the light bulbs that last for thousands of hours for your home, car, or office.
